Practical guide for applying B6-182 and installing the Automatic Extinguisher

Clear, simple and reliable steps for field technicians, engineers and installers. These procedures ensure optimal performance of the B6-182 coating and the FireProtecx Automatic Extinguisher module.

B6-182 Application (Porous surfaces: wood, cardboard)

  1. Surface preparation: Remove dust, grease and loose particles. Wood moisture should be < 15%. Light sanding recommended.
  2. First coat: Apply using brush, roller, or HVLP sprayer. Target thickness: 0.6–1.0 mm. Drying time: 60–90 minutes.
  3. Second coat: Apply uniformly. Ensure edges and joints are fully covered.
  4. Curing: Initial cure: 24 hours. Functional cure before fire exposure: 72 hours.
  5. Optional top coat: Water-based protective or decorative finish may be applied after curing.
  6. Safety: Use gloves, mask and ensure proper ventilation. Product is non-toxic and water-based.

For metal surfaces, lightly sand to create an anchor profile and apply a compatible primer.
