Independent testing & real-world demonstrations

FireProtecx technologies have undergone extreme heat tests using propane torches, oxy-acetylene, molten metal, and independent laboratory evaluations. Below is a summary of the most relevant technical results.

SGS USA — UL 94HB Certification

The B6-182 formulation was independently evaluated at SGS North America using the UL 94HB horizontal burn test protocol.

Classification: UL-94HB

Automatic Extinguisher — real fire test

Live demonstration of the FireProtecx Automatic Extinguisher detecting and neutralizing a flame within seconds of ignition. The module identifies heat direction and projects B6-182 toward the source.

Oxy-acetylene test — molten steel, protected core

A steel plate placed over B6-182 and Styrofoam was exposed to an oxy-acetylene flame (≈ 3,200 °C) until the metal liquefied.

42-minute propane torch exposure

A three-layer B6-182 structure was applied over Styrofoam and exposed to a 1,982 °C propane flame for 42 minutes.

Latex balloon under oxy-acetylene flame

A thin latex balloon coated with B6-182 resists direct exposure to an oxy-acetylene flame. Uncoated balloons rupture instantly under much lower temperatures.

Hand protected with B6-182 — real demonstration

A human hand coated with ~2 mm of B6-182 withstands a propane torch under controlled conditions. This demonstration has been featured in Forbes and International Fire Fighter Magazine.
